Alejo de los Reyes is one of the world’s leading guitarists who combines the many facets of classical guitar with an in-depth knowledge of Argentine folk music. He has emerged as a sought-after international performer who stands out for his creativity and profound musical expressiveness. Alejo started his musical training under his parents, both guitarists, most particularly his father, Argentine classical guitarist Oscar Rubén de los Reyes. His career as a concert guitarist began at age 11 in his hometown of Chivilcoy (Argentina) and has led him to perform in many cities in Argentina, Spain, Switzerland, and Italy. He studied guitar at the National University for the Arts (Universidad Nacional de Arte, UNA) and the Manuel de Falla Music Conservatory (Conservatorio Superior de Música Manuel de Falla), under María Bello and Jorge Biscardi. In 2011, he was awarded first place in the María Luisa Anido International Guitar Competition, held in San Lorenzo (Argentina). His most recent and third solo recording is a 2022 release entitled Al Compas de La Vihuela, a Argentine folk and traditional music collection. Alejo will also partner with guest Paula Serrano (vocals)
Dr. Emiliano Pardo-Tristán is a classical guitar player, teacher, and composer specializing in Classical Guitar, Latin American Popular Guitar, Guitar Composition, and Music Theory. He earned doctoral and MS degrees in Music Composition from Temple University as well as a Superior Degree in Guitar Performance from the Madrid Royal Conservatory of Music (Spain) and the National Institute of Music (Panama) and a post-doc fellow at NYU involving research on Latin American Concert Music Compositions.
John Penn, recognized as the best classical and flamenco guitar teacher in the area, is also a well-known performer. He holds a B.A. in music from Rutgers University and studied classical guitar for many years with William Viola.
Ana Vidović is an extraordinary talent with formidable gifts, taking her place among the world’s elite musicians. She is known for her beautiful tone, precise technique, well-defined phrasing, thoughtful artistry, and musicianship. Her international performance career includes frequent recitals, concerto engagements, and festival appearances in most of Europe’s cultural destinations, including Amsterdam, Brussels, Budapest, Copenhagen, London, Oslo, Paris, Rome, Salzburg, Tokyo, Vienna, Warsaw, and Zagreb. Ana Vidovic comes from the small town of Karlovac near Zagreb, Croatia, and started playing guitar at the age of 5. She became the youngest student at age 13 to attend the prestigious National Musical Academy in Zagreb where she studied with Professor Istvan Romer.
