I have the great joy to tell you that on Thursday, May 29 we will share a very special show with the beloved Tata Cedrón. We are going to present “Flor de la Banda Oriental”, an album-book that we made as a duo about the work of the immense Osiris Rodríguez Castillos, with beautiful illustrations by ISOL, who will also be a guest artist.

This work was born from the enthusiasm and admiration we both feel for the music and the figure of Osiris. We did it with all the respect and love that his work deserves, and with the conviction that his stature as an author, composer and performer deserves to continue to grow among us.

Osiris (Montevideo, 1925 – 1996) was a troubadour like those of yesteryear: with his guitar he narrated his landscape, his time, and his world, with a remarkable aesthetic depth, and a sound identity that blends the popular and the classic of our region. In Argentina he was recognized by greats such as Eduardo Falú, Jorge Cafrune, José Larralde and Carlos Di Fulvio, and continues to be a fundamental figure for those of us who love the guitar and the rioplatense song.

This will be the only performance in Argentina for this part of the year, as I will soon return to New York to be part of the New York Tango Festival, and, at the end of next month, I will also be performing in Europe.
