Bio

There are very few artists today who combine as many facets of music as Alejo de los Reyes. He is a musician with a solid background and a notable career in classical guitar. Alejo also has in-depth knowledge of Argentine folk music, which he plays regularly and continues to investigate.  In this genre, he performs with ease both as a soloist and as a member of several groups. He has also performed as an accompanist for such musicians as Rubén Llaneza and “Tata” Cedrón. In addition, Alejo dabbles in the practice of early music, as reflected in his recent album “Al compás de la vihuela”, which features Argentine popular and traditional music and works from the European renaissance. As a result of this unique path that traverses the rigor of classical music, the versatility of folk music, and the wisdom of traditional and ancient music, Alejo emerges an artist who stands out for his spontaneity and his profound expressiveness.
