Lincoln Center’s summer for the city is an annual series that brings together the most important artists of every musical genre that makes up New York’s immensely varied cultural scene. The concerts take place on the Lincoln Centers majestic forecourt, where an open-air stage is set up each year.

This year Argentine Tango will be represented by the Abbadón Sextet (Emilio Teubal on piano, Pablo Lanougere on double bass, Shinjoo Cho and David Hodges on bandoneons, Sergio Reyes and Ina Paris on violins) with Alejo de los Reyes (guitar) and Paula Serrano (vocals) as guest artists. The repertoire will include some classic tango tunes from the most revered tango orchestras, as well as some of the repertoire of the well-remembered Quinteto Real, the group founded by Horacio Salgán and Ubaldo De Lío, whose ranks included musicians such as Pedro Laurenz, Enrique Mario Francini, Leopoldo Federico, “Kicho” Díaz, Néstor Marconi and Antonio Agri.

Prior to the concert, an open class of social Tango for beginners will be offered.
Admission is free and tickets can be reserved to access without queuing. The event is suspended due to rain.
