Chères amies de tango et chers amis des concerts au Jardin Intramuros (ou vice-versa)!

Presque chaque fois que le grand guitariste argentin Alejo de los Reyes fait une tournée en Europe, il fait un arrêt au Jardin Intramuros.
Il vient de Paris pour deux concerts en Suisse, dont un à Fribourg!

Cette fois, il viendra en TRIO, accompagné par la bandonéoniste Carmela Delgado et par Pedro Ratto en guitarrón, une guitare typique en Argentine.
Ils vont vous présenter la musique traditionnelle, surtout de la région de Rio de la Plata.

Carmela et Alejo, en tant que musicienne et musicien, jouent ensemble depuis 2017 – je suis très curieux d’écouter leur nouveau programme!

Avant le concert (s’il ne pleut pas!), à 18h30, Marc ferai une visite sur thème de mon jardin médicinal, le Jardin Intramuros, à la Commanderie …
Après le concert, il y aura un buffet canadien autour de la fontaine du Jardin Intramuros pour ceux qui aimeraient y rester encore un petit peu, en apportant un amuse-bouche ou quelque chose à boire.

The vihuela and America
Traditional music from Argentina, Peru and Venezuela and music of the Spanish vihuela players of the 16th century.

In this concert, Alejo de los Reyes, a classical trained and experienced guitarist with a background in early music and a long career as a soloist and accompanist of tango and Argentine popular music, explores the connections between the European music of the 16th and 18th centuries (the years of Spanish colonization in America) and the traditional music of Latin America.
It will be a journey through soundscapes and rhythms that depict regions and countries very distant from each other, but that keep in their DNA the marks of their mixed heritage.

Música tradicional de Argentina, Perú y Venezuela y música de los vihuelistas españoles del siglo XVI.

En este concierto Alejo de los Reyes, guitarrista de formación y trayectoria en la música clásica y antigua y de amplio recorrido como solista y acompañante de tango y música popular argentina, explora las conexiones entre la música europea de los siglos XVI y XVIII (los años de la colonización española en América) y la música tradicional de Latinoamérica.
Será un viaje a través de paisajes sonoros y ritmos que representan regiones y países muy distantes entre sí, pero que guardan en su ADN las marcas de su herencia mestiza.

El Taller Latino Americano presents a new edition of its Music Without Borders series with a live performance by Paula & Alejo, a guitar and voice duo. The repertoire includes Tango, Argentine Folklore, and Folk-Rock, offering a journey through Latin American musical traditions.

This event is supported by NYC Cultural Affairs, New York State Council on the Arts, and other local organizations.

Join us for an evening of authentic Argentine Tango music and delicious food at Sofreh Café. This event is part of a series featuring outstanding international artists.

On this occasion, we present Leonardo Suarez-Paz & Alejo De Los Reyes of the Nuevo Tango Arts Ensemble, performing a selection of Argentine Tango works in two sets.

Leonardo Suarez-Paz, Argentine-born violinist, vocalist, and composer, is a two-time Latin GRAMMY® nominee and was mentored by Astor Piazzolla. A fourth-generation tango artist, he has performed as violin soloist with Horacio Salgán, Mariano Mores, and Atilio Stampone, and appeared on Broadway in Forever Tango and Tango Argentino. He has also been featured as a tango dancer in The Mariano Mores Show, Zotto’s Tango x2, and Perfumes de Tango.

Alejo De Los Reyes, Argentine-born guitarist and third-generation tango musician, is recognized as a unique culture bearer of the genre. He has collaborated with renowned Argentine artists such as Juan Carlos “Tata” Cedrón, Norma Peralta, and Rubén Llaneza, as well as European artists Michel Kiener, luthier and researcher Luc Breton, and the Ensemble Fratres. He performs regularly in Argentina, the United States, and Europe.

Both artists are fans of Sofreh Café and look forward to sharing an evening of music, culture, and good company with you.
